How can I find out if my employer matches gifts?
To find out if your employer has a matching gift policy, simply ask your HR department.
It looks like my company has a matching program—how do I get my gift matched?
Simply contact a Human Resources representative within your organization/company about matching.
My employer doesn’t have a matching gift program. How can I get them to match my gift to the Young Center?
Talk to your HR Department, and if you need additional information, provide them with this one-pager on the Young Center’s work. Matching is a great way for companies, big and small, to give back to the community and inspire kindness and empathy among employees.
What do I need to know about the Young Center in order to request a matching gift?
The Young Center’s tax/EIN is 26-1839249, and we are tax exempt. Please note that we may already be listed in your employer’s matching gift database. Be sure to designate “The Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights” on your matching gift request form!

What percentage of my gift will my company match? Is there a limit to how much money can be matched?
Matching ratios are set by each organization/company, and therefore can vary. Typically, companies match 1:1, and each company sets their own upper and lower matching limits.
I’m a recurring donor. Can I get my monthly gifts matched?
Absolutely! Employers can match the amount you have paid to-date toward the total amount you committed for the year. Your gift can be matched in several ways, depending on the minimum donation your employer will match, and their deadline for matching:
· Submit a matching gift form for each month’s installment
· Submit matching gift forms bi-annually or quarterly
· Submit a matching gift form once you have fulfilled your annual pledge
If I made multiple donations to the Young Center this year, can I still get them all matched?
Definitely! Just be sure to note the minimum and maximum amount your employer matches, and the deadline to request a matching gift (both of which vary by company/organization).
I’m a retiree. Can my company still match?
It’s possible—but you just need to ask. Some employers may even match gifts given by spouses as well.
