The Young Center, along with the Allstate Foundation and Facing History and Ourselves is co-sponsoring A Community Conversation with Kirk Johnson: “Exploring Issues of Civic Responsibility”. The event will be held Wednesday, October 23 from 6:00–7:30 PM at Northwestern University’s Lincoln Hall located at 357 E. Chicago Avenue.
Kirk Johnson is a prolific human rights advocate, subject of the award winning documentary The List , and the author of To Be a Friend Is Fatal: The Fight to Save the Iraqis America Left Behind. He is founder of The List Project to Resettle Iraqi Allies, a non-profit organization which aims to aid Iraqis who are in danger due to affiliation with and help they gave to the United States.
