The Young Center is thrilled to announce that we will be growing the Child Advocate project. We are looking to hire for the following positions:

2014 Houston Texas Supervising Attorney Job Description: The Supervising Attorney will supervise the Houston Staff Attorney and Administrative Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator as well as Houston-based volunteer Child Advocates appointed pursuant to the Wilberforce Trafficking Protection Reauthorization Act. The Houston office of the Young Center will serve both detained and released children. While this is a Supervising Attorney position, the person hired cannot serve as the immigration attorney for any child, but instead will be appointed as Child Advocate or will supervise the work of Child Advocates.

2014 Houston Texas Staff Attorney Job Description: The Staff Attorney will recruit, train and supervise Houston-based volunteer Child Advocates appointed pursuant to the Wilberforce Trafficking Protection Reauthorization Act. The Staff Attorney will work directly with detained and released children. While this is a Staff Attorney position, the person hired cannot serve as the immigration attorney for any child, but instead will be appointed as Child Advocate or will supervise the work of Child Advocates.
