Fay Parris is the Supervising Attorney at the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights New York office. Prior to joining the Young Center, she worked as a solo practitioner, practicing in the areas of corporate litigation, entertainment, immigration and public international law. Previously, she was of counsel to Teplen & Associates, P.L.L.C., and a Referral Panel attorney with Feldman, Kramer & Monaco, P.C. In her immigration practice, she handled Special Immigrant Juvenile petitions, national interest waivers for medical researchers and Withholding of Removal petitions under the United Nations Convention against Torture. She also served as a Visiting Professional at the International Criminal Court, Office of The Prosecutor, The Hague Netherlands, where she advised on the investigation of gender-based persecution and conducted an interdepartmental workshop titled “Comprehensive Modalities for Addressing Victims’ Needs.” She currently Co-Chairs the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, International Women’s Rights Committee and is an Ex-Officio Director of the Executive Committee of NGOs in Association with the United Nations Department of Public Information. Ms. Parris received her J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law and Masters in International Law and Affairs from the American University School of International Service.
