Rubi Rodriguez is the Volunteer Coordinator for the Young Center’s New York office. In the past, she interned at the International Rescue Committee in Atlanta where she assisted resettled refugees from various countries, including Iraq, Bhutan, Myanmar, Afghanistan, and the Central African Republic. Shortly before completing her undergraduate studies, she began working with Chhaya CDC, a small community development organization that assists immigrants of South Asian descent in Queens, New York. She also currently works with the LIFT Fund, a migrant workers’ rights focused foundation that provides grants and support to worker center and labor union partnerships. Rubi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia where she double-majored in International Affairs and Anthropology.
