Sarah Waxman is the Managing Director for The Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights. Sarah has worked with immigration legal services providers since 1999. Previously, she was the Legal Services Director at Latinos Progresando, of which she is currently the Board President. Past experience also includes the National Immigrant Justice Center and the Law Offices of Moises Hernandez, Esq. After law school, Sarah worked for the Chicago firm of Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum and Nagelberg, where she practiced commercial litigation with a focus on banking. During her time there, she provided pro bono legal immigration services for asylum seekers and people applying for immigration benefits under the Violence Against Women Act. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago and the University of Chicago Law School.
