Welcome Our New Board President
We’re thrilled to announce that Teresa Sullivan is the Young Center’s new Board President. Teresa is a natural leader, a gifted orator, a skilled fundraiser, and most importantly, a fierce advocate for unaccompanied children. We are overjoyed that she has agreed to take her long-time support of the Young Center to the next level by serving as the Board President. Teresa first became involved with the Young Center while a student at the University of Chicago Law School where she served as a Child Advocate. Since that time, Teresa has remained a passionate supporter and has worked to raise awareness of our mission.
Teresa is a staff attorney with the Children and Families Practice Group of LAF, the Legal Assistance Foundation, in Chicago. Prior to joining LAF, Teresa spent five years as a commercial litigator in private practice. Teresa earned her J.D. degree from the University of Chicago and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Washington University in St. Louis. Between undergrad and law school, Teresa spent one year as a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs followed by three years as a healthcare consultant with Epic Systems.
