Join us for a benefit to celebrate and support the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights’ mission to reimagine an immigration system that sees children as children. Learn about our commitment to advocating for unaccompanied immigrant children on the ground and with policymakers, gain new perspectives from our featured speaker, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Maria Hinojosa, and honor one of the most global icons, renowned author and philanthropist Isabel Allende, who will be presented with the 2022 Maria Woltjen Waymaker Award. We are also delighted to have Eduardo Placer, CEO and Founder of Fearless Communicators as our benefit host and MC; and performances by actress Vivia Font and Anabel Gil Diaz (Cuban flautist).
If you were unable to attend the event, please consider donating to support our work with immigrant children. Donations and ticket purchases will be matched up to $50,000 through the generosity of the Young Center Board.

Issues we are tackling right now:
Advocating for the best interests of separated and unaccompanied children facing deportation and reuniting them with their families. Read three success stories here.
Advocating with the Biden-Harris administration to end and prevent family separation at our borders. Read about our recommendations here.
Serving children seeking protection from Afghanistan and advocating for culturally-competent support in government custody and after release. Learn more here.
Fighting to end policies that deny immigrant families and asylum-seekers the legal right to seek safety, including Title 42 and Remain in Mexico.
