First Ever Virtual Run/Walk/Roll for Immigrant Children’s Rights
Join us from September 17 to October 1 by participating on your own, forming a team, or fundraising for your favorite runner in honor of unaccompanied and separated children facing deportation. Pick your race day and time, choose your distance, chart your own course, and share your race day photos on social media using #BeAWaymaker!
Thank you for raising funds for immigrant children by participating in our Waymaker race. You can help even more by uplifting the event on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn or using our social media toolkit to uplift the event.

Story of the Waymaker: Years ago, the Young Center had the honor of serving a girl from West Africa. When she was successfully released from custody, settled in, and enrolled in high school, she sent a letter to her Child Advocate, thanking her for being her Waymaker. We love that word. Today, as children continue to be separated from their families at the border and children who arrive on their own are at risk of being deported to danger, we need more Waymakers than ever.
