Our Executive Director Gladis Molina Alt was recently featured in a podcast on Great.com. The broadcast touched upon the importance of getting the best possible outcome for unaccompanied children who go through the United States’ immigration system.

Gladis discussed how the Young Center seeks to adapt the U.S. welfare system to better support and protect unaccompanied immigrant children while custodial issues are sorted out between children and their parents or guardians. She also discussed our Child Advocate program, in which advocates are assigned to a child —listening to them and guiding them through the process— and make recommendations to the different decision-makers, immigration judges, enforcement agents and the attorneys that work for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
